The Education and Training Foundation’s #APConnect’s Skylark pathway: Practitioner Led Professional Development launched on 7 July 2021, initially to those Advanced Practitioners (APs) who have been successful in their application for Constellation C. We are now launching round 2 to the wider Further Education and Training sector.

The Skylark pathway will enable 30 organisations to support small teams of 3-4 APs to organise, recruit and run practitioner led professional development events across their organisation and networks for a minimum of 50 practitioners. The ETF expects:

• the AP team to access the Skylark launch CPD sessions taking place during September, October and November 2021
• one AP to act as the Skylark project lead co-ordinating the professional development events from October through to March 2022
  • this Skylark lead will join, and be supported by peers nationally, via #APConnect Constellation C.

AP-led professional development events will take place from October to March 2022 and will take the form of:

• Ideas Rooms or Action Learning Sets (minimum of 3)
• AP-led Networks (minimum of 2: one in the Autumn term, one in the Spring term)

Successful organisations will receive grants of 3k to contribute to AP release and all monitoring activities. Applications and activities must be supported by a senior manager who may also form part of the AP Skylark team.
