#APConnect – Amazing response to register your interest

The team at touchconsulting Ltd is excited about the huge appetite shown for Year 3 of the Education and Training Foundation’s #APConnect programme. Year 3 builds on the culture-changing work undertaken in year 1 & 2 by practitioners operating in AP-type roles across the education and training sector. We’ve had an amazing response over the last couple of weeks and anticipate all programme pathways will be oversubscribed this year. That’s the:

Constellation bookings are live!

We are delighted applications for the Constellations on the Community of Practice (CoP) are now live!

We have already written out to the 100 or so practitioners who expressed an interest over Summer. We’re keen to throw the net wider. Do you work in an Advanced Practitioner-type role (also known by a myriad of names – Teaching & Learning Coach, Quality Lead etc.?)  You can now apply for a place on one of three constellations, depending on your experience of leading quality improvements in an AP-type role. The Constellations are a fully subsidised, cutting-edge blended professional development opportunity.

Watch the video from our CoP Lead, Lou Mycroft and read the application guidance carefully. It’s all accessible from this application form. You’ll also find a link to our selection process as it’s likely we’ll receive more applications than we have places for. The closing date is 17 September and we’ll be in touch w/c 21 September to let you know the outcome. We do hope to be able to offer everyone a place.

Advanced Teacher Status (ATS)

Do you know the Education and Training Foundation is also providing 100 bursaries (worth £500 each) for 100 SET members joining the next cohort working towards Advanced Teacher Status (ATS)? The deadline is 13 Sept with the 2020 cohort starting in October. We are working with the ATS team to ensure the Advanced Practitioner programme aligns. For those joining the ATS October cohort you can use the evidence generated on #APConnect towards your portfolio, and for those applying for future cohorts your experiences will contribute to your application.

What’s #APConnect again?

#APConnect is a professional development programme for those operating in AP-type roles* across the Further Education and Training sector. It is commissioned and funded by the Education and Training Foundation and being organised by touchconsulting Ltd. You can read more and register your interest here. You won’t be tied into anything, but we will let you know as soon as bookings are live.

(*it doesn’t matter if your job title isn’t ‘Advanced Practitioner’).
