#APConnect – Developing APs

The team at touchconsulting Ltd were incredibly excited to design and develop a 3-day CPD programme for those operating in AP-type roles across the education and training sector. The last time such a national investment was made in this role was years ago as part of the national teaching and learning programme.

Since 2018, touchconsulting Ltd has trained 200+ APs across England. We started with an ‘open’ model in which 25 APs came together from across the country for a two-day residential, and then regrouped on day 3 to review progress on their small-scale quality improvement projects and their wider culture-changing role.
We have now moved to an ‘in-house’ delivery model. AP teams are trained inhouse at a time and venue to suit with places open to local APs. Again, a 3-day model but without the residential element.
The programme is subsidised by the Education and Training Foundation.
